3 Year Old’s

Kendargent x Moricandor

Dark Bay Filly

Stunning French bred filly by leading Sire KENDARGENT out of an unraced KINGS BEST Mare Moricandor.

Trainer: Ben Haslam –  25% Available.

Please contact Craig for pricing, 5% to 25% shares available, lease option possible.

Partnership: James Scott, Warren Black and Richard Whitelaw.

We purchased this stunning French bred filly at the Arqana Premier Yearling Sale in August 2018 for a bargain €18,000 and no wonder she sold out in 1 hour. We were offered €6,000 profit from the Italians when she was doing her wind test which we obviously turned down.

Her sire KENDARGENT is the leading active French sire and has had phenomenal continued success with 14 Black Type 2 year old’s and counting.

Kendargent made a fabulous start to his time at stud and was one of the real breakthrough sires of 2012, from an initial nomination fee of just €1000, and he quickly became very fashionable, particularly in his native France. He remains the sire of precocious 2yo’s, such as Goken, but he seems to excel with progressive individuals such as Jimmy Two Times, Marando and Restiadargent. Now standing at €17,000, you can see the immense progress he has made, given the successes of his progeny on the track. Himself, a Group 1 miler, who enjoyed a little cut underfoot, he appears to be passing on 6f to mile+ prowess into his hugely successful progeny.

As soon as we saw her we knew we just had to have her, she came highly recommended by Matt Eaves of Star Bloodstock who bred and sold Lamont Racing’s exciting 2 year old ‘Wee Jim’ who went on to the HIT Sales this year and sold for £110.000, making our share holders a tidy return on their investment.

We are very confident Plusdargent will make a brilliant shrewd investment also, and cant wait to see her on the race track.

Update 3rd Sept 2019:

Plusdargent has now been turned away for the winter and will resume training early next year, we absolutely love her and she oozes class and has grown into an absolute powerhouse, there was no way we were going to push her to get her on the track as a 2yo, she kept growing and was given the time she needs both mentally and physically. I am sure patience will pay off next year and cant wait to see her on the race course.

We are delighted to offer this stunning big strong bay colt by the hugely exciting sire EPAULETTE out of the Listed Placed Mare Ares Choix

He was purchased at the Goffs August-2018 Silver Yearling Sales for £12,000

EPAULETTE was a top class Australian sprinter from the Danehill family. He is a 3 part brother to leading freshman sire Helmet from a classic European family. He won the Group 1 Doomben over 6 furlongs and also the Group 1 Golden Rose over 7 furlongs in record time. His progeny hit the tracks last year have been hugely popular at the sales. They are known to be natural athletes with great temperament and plenty of speed.

The dam is the Black Type ‘Ares Choix‘ best RPR-92, who was a winner at 2 and also 3rd in a Listed race in France. She is the dam of 4 runners and 3 winners, we are confident this boy will be winner number 4.

He moves very well and once he fills his frame will make a super 3 year old this year, If you are interested in a very exciting 3 year old for a reasonable outlay. Get in touch to avoid disappointment.

Update 1st February 2020:

After a break Gweedore ran a great race full of potential yesterday at Newcastle, he was prominent throughout and led at the 1 furlong pole only to be caught late on by a very well handicapped horse defying his starting odds of 25/1. We look forward to him being in the winners enclosure this year.

Update 3rd November 2019:

Gweedore has had 3 quick runs within a month for experience finishing 5th, 4th and 6th, he ran well for a long way last time out at Ayr in the soft, leading from the start up to the furlong pole from home, when he tired. He has been turned away to fill his frame and strengthen up and he’s going to race plenty next year with a possible target to skip a hurdle at the back end of the season. We expect to see him in the winners enclosure on the flat of his very workable opening mark of 65.
